explosive awakening

My Darling Friends,

I heard them like a calling to my soul, awakening me into the explosive light of summer.... come little one, come....run!!!

boom.

boom.

boom.

come, come, come, hurry, hurry, hurry, run, run, run... and so as the sleeping child in my soul awakened so did my footsteps quicken.  My heart beat faster with anticipation; I could see shoots of colors at the corners of buildings, I could smell the sweet, thick smoke of explosion, but mostly I heard the

boom.

boom.

boom.

I could feel the explosions ricocheting off of my chest cavity, even the concrete ground was shaking!!!

I was running across buildings trying to reach the spot.   Then, a clearing, a passage filled with people gathered to witness the sensory overload and willingly overdose on endorphins from the firework display.  I jumped up and down, clapping my hands filled with excitement!  When I was younger I used to think the fireworks were for me, for my birthday, and elements of that still linger...deep.  How amazing!  How beautiful! OoOo look at that one!!! OoOo that's my favorite!!!  My insides leapt with joy; I felt like flying--soaring up, up, up!!!

I discovered one thing about who I am tonight. . .
   . . . mostly, I am a child at heart. . .

Love Always,

Thank you for stopping by Koralee =) My mom talks about you and bluebird notes probably every day, so I feel as though I know you also. My mom had so much fun posting about Rachael's wedding, thank you for sharing in the joy. My mom cherishes her blog friends so much, and the happiness of the wedding was magnified by everyone out here =)
